As the first designer at a leading affiliate marketplace, I led a new revenue surface end-to-end — design system, AI prototyping, and shipping with two engineers in under three months.

Company

Levanta is a leading affiliate marketplace platform. They aim to bring creators and brands together in a single place to optimize commissions and brands' affiliate marketing revenue.

Problem

There is no structured way for brands and creators to negotiate, fulfill, and pay out contracts for content creation.

Solution

Give brands the ability to propose creator content for a flat fee.

Approach

Starting from a basic ask to reduce churn by giving smaller brands a way to request content directly, I led a design workshop with leadership, quickly built an AI prototype in Figma Make, then worked closely with two developers to ship the build in less than three months.

The result

Working with just two engineers, we built this complex application in three months instead of the projected six to eight. The team credited the speed to AI prototyping and detailed designs that covered every flow, state, and edge case. Four months after launch, Paid Placements is already moving the leading indicators: 439 proposals and over $100K in placement revenue, with brand retention and creator engagement as the long-term goals.
